TAMMY JUDSON | Owner/Coach
- CrossFit Level 1
- CrossFit Kids
- CrossFit Mobility
- Pediatric Registered Nurse
Tammy Judson was a three sport athlete in High School, where she was elected as captain in all three sports. Recognition for her athletic ability extended beyond her peers as she was named All-State in Gymnastics and All-Conference in Softball. She continued her athletic career playing softball at the University of Saint Joseph. As she grew older she maintained her athletic ability with working out, running races and doing mud runs. She got her Nursing Degree at St. Francis and has been a pediatric nurse for over 20 years. She has been happily married for 14 years (and counting) and has 5 beautiful children with her husband, Steve. In 2009, Tammy was introduced to CrossFit by a bootcamp instructor and immediately saw drastic improvements in her physical and emotional health. She quickly noticed that it was difficult for other married couples with children to set aside time for their own health and fitness, and she wanted to do something to help families accomplish this. CrossFit Unlimited Potential is Tammy’s outlet for giving back to the community. She has created a family-oriented and child-friendly environment where families can lead healthier, longer lives. Alex Karkos | CrossFit L1
Alex found CrossFit pretty much like everyone else. Growing up playing sports such as hockey and soccer, he always had that competitive edge. After a while of doing the usual gym routine, he needed something else. In 2011, he did a CrossFit workout for the first time and was hooked. After a year of doing CrossFit, he decided to get his level 1 certificate, and the rest was history. Throughout the years of coaching, he's loved every second of it. Seeing how hard everyone works day in and day out, makes him push harder as a coach and as an athlete. He looks forward to continue his CrossFit education and become certified in gymnastics and Olympic weightlifting. Everyday he enjoys the journey and meeting new people.
Growing up I was involved in gymnastics and our high school wrestling team, but I never really took sports or fitness seriously. That all changed for me when I attended a friends and family night at our box. I was so out of shape I almost passed out during the warm-up. That night I decided to make some changes. I signed up with CrossFit Unlimited Potential and I discovered a passion for being fit and healthy. This has been one of the most positive and rewarding experiences of my life. Now, I want to help others find that same joy and excitement about being able to do those things they never imagined they were capable of. In a relatively short period of time, and with the help of incredible coaches, I built up my strength and endurance, obtained my level 1 certificate, and I now have the privilege to coach at CrossFit Unlimited Potential, my home, where I will continue to push myself to learn, grow, and develop new strengths.
